Below is as far as I could get. I am utterly clueless how to get any further.

| 37   4   8     | 26  1   36  | 257 9    25 |
| 1    5   37    | 89  23  89  | 247 246  246 |
+----------------+-------------+--------------+

| 789  3   79    | 4   689 5   | 29  1    26  |
| 2    168 1459  | 3   689 7   | 459 4568 456 |
+----------------+-------------+--------------+

A good one - though I tried in vain to do it without an xy-wing. There's a Type 6 UR on <68> and x-wings on <3> but it would appear the <238> wing was all that was needed.

There is a XY wing with the pivot in box 8 (38). After that I went fast for me.

I agree. I did use an X-wing (<68> pair in C2, <58> pair in C8) to place <8> in R5C5, but the basics would probably have sufficed.

I saw the long path extended xy-chain from the 28 to the 23 before I saw the short wing: <28-83-36-62>-23=23

There it was, an XY-Wing. Why I never could find it I don't know. But I looked and looked, looked and looked, looked and looked, looked and looked, and I could not find the key. I guess I was looking horizontal and vertical, and not on a slant? I guess I was looking outside of the box? As the saying goes, you got to look inside the box sometimes.
