This was one of those enjoyable puzzles where a lot of clutter is swept away by a couple of x-wings (<2> and <6>). But then a tough slog on wings which I didn't manage to complete correctly. The x-wings were good though.

I don't do sudoku much any more, but I still enjoy the game.

Thanks for the positive reply. I never realized how difficult it would be to create puzzles for others. I expect one solution path to unfold, and others find a completely different solution path. My difficulty level never seems to match theirs. Amazing ... and frustrating. Oh Well.

yeah,I have to agree that the x-wings help it down to a manageable bug+1 grid.
