				| Earl, I have two XY-Wings of 362 but can't do anything with either. There is one of 683, pivoted in r3c8. There's also a 26 UR in boxes 28. Either r9c4 = 8 or r9c6 = 5. If the latter, then r1c1 = 8 and this acts as a pincer with r9c4 to remove the 8 from r9c1.

  	  | Code: | | +----------+------------+-----------+
 | 38 6   9 | 17  5  137 | 4  28  12 |

				| Marty,
The xy-wing 236 pivoted at R5C2 eliminates the 6 from R6C89 and solves the puzzle.

Earl, I still can't see it. Based on my grid, there would have to be a 26 in r5c8 to make those eliminations.

				| Sorry, I gave the wrong directions. It is the 368 as noted by George above. Another senior moment!

				| further to my earlier comment - before the 368 XY wing I used the 236 XY wing to remove the 2 from r5c8 and that was needed to set up the 368 XY. Maybe there is some other way to remove the offending 2 but I was not clever enough to ssee it! OK tongue in Cheek - the 2s in row 6 of box 6 are the only ones in the complete row therefore... BUT why do it simply when we can do it in a more complicated way! | |
