				Symmetrical three step:

 	  | Quote: | 1)XY Wing <138> blocks 4&5

2)Clunky AIC that proves r1c2 must be 1

(1=9)r1c2-(9=1)r7c2-r8c3=(19)r8c79-(1)r79c8=r3c8-r1c79=r1c2

When r1c2 is set to 9 (or not 1) it becomes 1 so r1c2 = 1

Here's a picture if it's useful - green "is 1", orange "isn't 1" http://i39.tinypic.com/drf48n.jpg

3)XY Wing <138> blocks 7&9 |

I had four moves including one rare event for me.

Type 6 UR78: UR78[(9)r9c4 = (5)r6c5]r69c45 - (5=3)r4c5 - (3=4)r1c5 - (4=8)r3c5 - (8=9)r2c6; r23c4<>9,

xy-wing 13-8 with vertex in r5c1; r5c3|r6c5<>8

Finned skyscraper on 1 in r7c28 with fin in r9c8

If skyscraper is true: r1c79|r3c3<>1

If fin is true: (1)r9c8 - r8c79 = (1)r8c3; r3c3<>1

Thus, r3c3<>1.

Another xy-wing 13-8 with vertex 13 in r9c1; r8c9<>8.

Danny, went back to look at your hint - it took me a lot of moves first time through.

That is a very nice grouped kite - I don't remember seeing one in the wild before! I have been trying to supplement my usual colouring with some more 'grouped colouring' steps - with mixed results, though they occasionally catch 'finned fish' which I might not notice without the discipline of colouring... |
