I'm sure everyone will be annoyed by the spamming of the forum by
internet low-lifes. I hope that Marty will be able to rid the list of the rubbish
before too long.
Also I'm getting the error that comes up from time to time:
Error: failed to retrieve puzzle. This could be a temporary network error -
please try again later. If the problem persists then please email
sudoku@dailysudoku.co.uk with a description of the error.
I suspect I'm not the only one.However an image of the day's puzzle
can be seen in 'Archive' and I've copied it to the following:

Play this puzzle online at the Daily Sudoku site
As most will know, the Grade button stopped working some time ago
so the difficulty level will not show. Archive says that today's is a 'Hard'.

| Hmm. I've never had a problem with the main page. The Grade button has always worked for me. |

Windows 8.1 at home. Something else perhaps at work. (I'm at home now.)
Google Chrome at home. At work I use the same favourite link I set up years ago.
No problems at home or at work. |

Curiouser.
I just tried it on a few machines. Seems server side issue.
Windows 7.
Chrome
Firefox
IE
Apple iPad iOS
Ubuntu Linux
Amazon Kindle OS.
All the same. None worked. |

The online solving of the puzzle, used to be working ok till last week. Since about a week or 10 days, it keeps giving Error: Failed to retrieve puzzle...
If it is on your server side, please let's know when it is going to be fixed. |

Hi,
Presumably, a number of you have been unable to play any of this site's puzzles since at least Friday last week.
Does anyone know what's happening about getting it sorted?
Going through the site, it appears that nothing has changed since 2007, other than the puzzles themselves. Worrying.

I wonder, if anyone at -- sudoku@dailysudoku.co.uk and/or here posts on this discussion bb has been reached, who administers or has the access to system or server, etc., look into what has gone wrong?
I've already sent a request about the problem to the above email address, but so far none has responded.

Whether he chooses to do anything is beyond what Marty or I can influence or effect.

| I have had the same problem. Since Friday I have been unable to retrieve any puzzle from either computer. No one have replied to my emails so I joined the discussion board. |
