I let this one fly a wing and a prayer, then I chained it up for good.

Maybe this is what ravel means:

After an XYZ-wing,
Code:
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 14  89  14  | 5   7   3   | 6   2   89  |
| 3   6   59  | 8   2   1   | 4   57  79  |
| 2   58  7   | 4   9   6   | 1   58  3   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 16  3   158 | 9   45  27  | 25  78  46  |
| 59  4   589 | 3   6   27  | 25  1   78  |
| 67  27  25  | 1   45  8   | 3   9   46  |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 8   1   6   | 7   3   5   | 9   4   2   |
| 47  27  24  | 6   1   9   | 8   3   5   |
| 59  59  3   | 2   8   4   | 7   6   1   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+

If you work out this BUG+2, one of R45C3 must be <5>. Which solves R6C3 as <2>, which leads to

Code:
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 4   89  1   | 5   7   3   | 6   2   89  |
| 3   6   59  | 8   2   1   | 4   57  79  |
| 2   58  7   | 4   9   6   | 1   58  3   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 1   3   58  | 9   4   27  | 25  78  6   |
| 59  4   589 | 3   6   27  | 25  1   78  |
| 6   7   2   | 1   5   8   | 3   9   4   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 8   1   6   | 7   3   5   | 9   4   2   |
| 7   2   4   | 6   1   9   | 8   3   5   |
| 59  59  3   | 2   8   4   | 7   6   1   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+

which is a BUG+1. R5C3 must be <5>.

Oops!

There are other eliminations, which solve the puzzle immediately.

I used the xyz-wing in box 3 on 245, which boiled it down to a bug+2, but I used an xy-chain.
