Not sure how much of a hint you would like, but I see a naked pair, a hidden pair (or naked quadruple) and set of locked candidates. See below for more detail.

... and then, some way down the line - and if I remember correctly - an XY-wing with R4C3 as pivot.

Well, I can't believe I missed the naked pair and the hidden pair. But now I am at this point and cannot continue. Perhaps it's the heat - that's my excuse. I don't see the xy wing. Help again would be appreciated.
