A number of paths appear, but this one is as a direct route.

A Solution: Coloring in (4) eliminates the 4 in R1C4 and solves the puzzle.

Below the grid after (all?) basics.
An xy wing did it for me.

Code:

+---------------+-------------+--------+
| 23468 46 2468 | 47   57 458 | 9 1 23 |
| 2348  9  248  | 1    48 6   | 5 7 23 |
| 7     1  5    | 3    2  9   | 6 4 8  |
+---------------+-------------+--------+
| 1     2  89   | 5    89 3   | 7 6 4  |
| 4689  46 3    | 4679 67 48  | 2 5 1  |
| 5     7  46   | 46   1  2   | 3 8 9  |
+---------------+-------------+--------+
| 69    8  7    | 69   3  1   | 4 2 5  |
| 249   5  249  | 8    49 7   | 1 3 6  |
| 46    3  1    | 2    56 45  | 8 9 7  |

An ER using C2 and Box 5 also eliminates the <4> in R1C4.
