				| For #1517, a two step sequence did the deed.  	  | Quote: |  	  | ER 2 with hinge in box2 and strong link in row8, xy-wing 1-68 with vertex18 in r8c6 and extended pincer 16: (1)r8c6 - (1=2)r8c5 - (2)r8c9 = (2)r7c9 - (2=6)r7c2; r9c2<>6.

				| My first attempt at MM 1519 was essentially useless; a single x-wing that led nowhere. I hope to try again later.

 Medusa coloring gives two 2r in R7, so g must be true.

 Also, there is a 4-cell chain 26 - 68 - 18 - 12 that takes out 2 in R9C4.

 Also there is the 479-MUG in r123c25 which combines with the 256-ALS in box 8 to form a freaky MUG-assisted quasi-XYZ-wing that eliminates the 2 from r8c5. Here is the AIC

 (2)r13c5 =MUG= (6)r1c5 - ALS(6=5&2)r7c5,r9c4 => r8c5 <> 2

 Puzzle, you've just been mugged--Mwaah hahaha!

 edit - Actually, if you add in cells r13c7, I think you have a 2479-MUG in that top tier that leaves r1c5 = 6 as the only escape.

 Very nice deduction! And it seems that you intend to add some new to your original AIC? Perhaps, it should be…

 That would be confusing. The MUG only forces either a 2 or a 6, but not necessarily both to be true (just like a UR). Thus you have a strong link between the 2's and the 6 due to the MUG, so you now need a weak link such as the 6 from the ALS to connect to it. Finally you finish it off with the remaining strong link of the ALS subpattern

 If I hadn't already shown the MUG in a diagram, I would probably present it as

  	  | Code: | | MUG(479#6)r123c25   (the #6 here implies six instances of the preceding digits)
 ||
 (6)r1c5 - (6=5&2)r7c5,r9c4
 ||
 (2)r13c5         =====> r8c5 <> 2
