The Nightmare from 25 Mar:

After warm up with:
Hidden Pair 1 4 in r2c1 and r2c5,
Nacked Pair 6 8 in r2c7 and r2c9,
followed later by:
Nacked Pair 3 6 in r8c3 and r8c9,
Hidden Pair 3 5 in r9c2 and r9c8,
and later by:
9 r3c2 r3c4 r4c2 r4c4 (X-Wing on Column),
and we get to the position:

With alpha star digit 1 in r2c1:
forces a 4 in r2c5 and r8c1
and this last 2 stars eliminate all the digits 4 in block 8.
This contradiction eliminates 1 from r2c1,
and the rest is easy.

From the same spot in the puzzle, colouring on digit 4 places 4 in the cells marked with (b) and the rest solves with singles.
