Couldn't find anything better than 34-6 XY-Wing pivot r8c1 followed (after
a bunch of basics some of which may not be needed) by successive X-Wings
on 3 and 1 both on r14, the second of which could also be done through a type
1 UR. Complicated without being very satisfying....

Definitely some basics missing, Hugh. There's a 2 in R7C56, which can't be there, due to the 2 in R7C9. This then gives you a hidden pair 28 in C5, but I'm not actually certain if this contributed to me solving the puzzle or not.

I found the XY wing you refer to (possibly plus some other basics) opened up a W-Wing 19 in boxes 4 & 5, with a strong link on 1 in C9, meaning R6C3 <>9. From there, it's STTE.

Hello Ema,

Your grid shows that r4c1 is solved for 6, but that cell should be 36. The 36 enables the 36-4 XY-Wing which is a good first step.
