Hi,
I am looking for help in solving the following sudoko. Arrange the numbers 1 through 9 in rows and columns so that each row and column add up to 12 and you can't use the same number more than once.

Hi, Dan!
That's not a sudoku puzzle. It sounds like a magic square.
Clearly if it's a 3x3 square it's impossible. Since the sum of the digits 1 - 9 is 45, and every digit would be included in two sums, the sum of each row and column would have to be 15, and not 12.
The same logic applies to a square of any size, if you think about it. 90 is not divisible by 12. dcb |
