|
|
Up to now I have assumed a V Hard at the crunch point would probably be sorted by an X wing. Today 13th Oct I used a DR?(deadly rectangle- answer must be unique). So maybe it can be solved by an X wing that I didn't see, or DR are now part of the repetoire!
Any comments? |

Hi, George!
We'll have to ask SamGJ to weigh in here about adding new techniques. I don't think you need to use anything beyond X-Wings to solve his puzzles, yet, but I'm not certain.
On the puzzle for 13 October, basic techniques brought me here.
Code: | *--------------------------------------------------------------------*
| 48 7 3 | 5 12468 246 | 124 9 1246 |
| 9 1 5 | 46 246 7 | 3 8 246 |
| 48 6 2 | 1348 9 34 | 14 457 1457 |
|----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
| 2 9 1 | 7 3456 3456 | 8 345 345 |
| 7 4 8 | 9 235 235 | 12 6 1235 |
| 35 35 6 | 48 248 1 | 7 24 9 |
|----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
| 356 2 4 | 36 7 356 | 9 1 8 |
| 16 8 7 | 2 16 9 | 5 34 34 |
| 135 35 9 | 134 1345 8 | 6 27 27 |
*--------------------------------------------------------------------* |
I guess the "UR" you were talking about is in r69c12, where you must have a "1" at r9c1 to avoid the "deadly pattern".
There's an X-Wing (on "4") in r13c47 that will also crack this puzzle open. dcb |
